Mantra

Even your thoughts are tattered
The innocent and naive urgency of the heart
The stars dictate that air does not feel
But your still breath disproves their predictions

Pace your beat, it might echo loud enough to be heard
Compose only yourself and halt your fingers
Before they dedicate another ballad

Convince yourself he is just a boy

Who at the right time and place
Has taken your mind captive with a simple double take

A second so meaningless that you are willing to forget
Yet keep away in the burrows of your well-repeated reveries
It is easy to find release, to accept relief
But where do I set this all down?
