Asia Pacific College, empowered by education and industry professionals as faculty and a balanced curriculum, aims to provide business and the information and communications technology industry in the Philippines and in the global community lifelong learning graduates who are anchored on the principles of integrity and professionalism.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Exceptional growth in the Information Technology industry which brought about the strong demand for IT professionals.

IBM Philippines, the leading IT supplier in the country, together with SM Foundation explored the possibility of putting up a computer training institution that would produce high caliber, industry-ready graduates.

Asia Pacific Computer Technology Center, Inc. (APC Center) and Asia Pacific Technology Educational Foundation, Inc. (Asia Pacific College) were established.

Asia Pacific College (APC), the product of the educational collaboration of IBM Philippines and SM Foundation - two prominent and highly successful privately-owned corporations, was born.

APC Center admitted its first trainees with the launching of the Training Program in Information Technology.

The school accepted students to its first two college programs, the BS Computer and Information Science (BSCIS) and the BS Commerce major in Computer Information Systems Management (BSC-CISM).

APC produced its first batch of college graduates.

The School of Engineering (SoE) was established.

The School of Multimedia Arts and the School of Accountancy and Business were established.

APC was recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as a Center of Excellence (CoE) in IT Education 2007.

APC was recognized by CHED as a Center of Development (CoD) in Computer Engineering.

APC was accredited by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) for Computer Science, Information Technology and Business Programs.

APC became ISO 9001:2008 Certified for Management of Education System.

APC piloted the Senior High School (SHS) program.

APC was accredited by PAASCU for Computer Engineering and Accountancy Programs.

The schools were renamed as School of Computing and Information Technologies (SoCIT), School of Management (SoM) and School of Multimedia and Arts (SoMA).

Started official establishment of Senior High School (SHS).

APC was granted Deregulated status by CHED.

Renewed recognition as Center of Excellence (CoE) in IT Education / Center of Development (CoD) in Computer Engineering for the next 2 years.
