大家上午好！一眼望去，在座的同学们，其实很多是我的朋友或者朋友的朋友。非常开心能够能在菲律宾马尼拉大都会与大家相聚。更是非常荣幸能够在这里向大家分享些我的见闻。

Honorable leaders, professors, and dear classmates,

Good morning everyone! At first glance, many of the students present are actually my friends or friends of friends. I am very glad to be able to meet you in Metro Manila, Philippines. And it is a great honor to be here to share some of my insights with you.

菲律宾国家大学、亚太学院的一些基本信息，包括他的历史、教授队伍、学术成果，学校的官方网站都有介绍，刚刚会议环节也有展示。当然更为重要的是我们现在一定已经感受的国家大学、亚太学院校领导教授们的真诚、热情、智慧、专业。谢谢校长 教授们。

The basic information about National University of the Philippines and Asia Pacific College is introduced on the APC’s official website, and was also presented during the conference session just now, such as their history, faculty, and academic achievements. Of course, what is more important is that we already felt the sincerity, enthusiasm, wisdom, and professionalism of the leaders and professors from national universities and Asia Pacific Colleges. 作为国家大学、国家大学亚太学院的战略合作伙伴、中国区招生大使，所以今天主要想和大家聊一聊我们中国人选择来菲律宾国家大学攻读研究生学历的优势。

As a strategic partner of the National University and the Asia Pacific College of the National University, as well as the admission ambassador for China area, today I would like to talk about the advantages for Chinese people choosing to pursue a graduate degree at the National University of the Philippines.

首先来菲律宾就读研究生在学习时间上有大的优势。中国大陆硕士一般花费三年时间才能毕业，而菲律宾硕士只需一年四个月。

Firstly, in terms of study time, studying in the Philippines as graduate students has significant advantages. It usually takes three years for postgraduate students in mainland China to accomplish their studies, while it only takes one year and four months for Philippines master students.

在中国大陆取得博士学位一般要4到6年，而在菲律宾最快只需要两年。时间是最珍贵的， 30岁 35岁 40岁，都是我们职业生涯的重要节点，一步领先、步步领先。踏准节奏，赢得人生。

It usually takes four to six years to get a doctorate degree in mainland China, while it only takes two years at the earliest in the Philippines. Time is the most precious. The age of 30, 35, and 40, are all important milestones in our career, respectively. It should step on the rhythm and win a say in life.

第二点、菲律宾国家大学的学费和在菲律宾生活的成本相对较低，相比于其他留学目的地，这是一个重要的优势。

The second point is that the tuition fees and living expenses in the Philippines are relatively low, which is an important advantage compared to studying in other countries.

原来出国留学，是富人子女升学的捷径。欧美大学的学费一年要30多万，生活费也得20万。每年至少60万的支出。只有富人家庭才能负担，而在菲律宾留学的花费只需要去欧美国家留学费用的八分之一。使得“出国留学”进入的寻常百姓家。

Previously, studying abroad was a shortcut for children from wealthy family to pursue higher education. The tuition fee for European and American universities is more than 300,000 yuan per year, and the living expenses are at least 200,000 yuan. The total cost is at least 600,000 yuan every year. Only wealthy families can afford it. And the cost of studying in the Philippines is only one eighth of that in European and American countries, making “studying abroad” enter into the homes of ordinary people.

第三点、菲律宾的英语环境特别好。菲律宾作为全球第三大英语国家。很多欧美的跨国大公司把公司语音客服业务设在菲律宾，因此菲律宾也被称作世界呼叫中心。

Thirdly, the English environment in the Philippines is particularly good. The Philippines is the third largest English speaking country in the world. Many multinational companies in Europe and America have set up their voice customer service business in the Philippines, which is why the Philippines is also known as the World Call Center.

你看，你来到菲律宾留学，全菲律宾人都是你的英文老师。你不管是在吃饭、学习、购物、旅游旅游随时随地都是外教在陪你练习英语，在这样沉浸式的语言环境下真的想学不好英语都很难。

You see, when you come to the Philippines to study, all Filipinos are your English teachers. Whenever you are eating, studying, shopping, or traveling, the English teachers accompany you to practice English anytime and anywhere. It is easy to learn English well in such an immersive language environment.

当然，我们还有很多中国公民在来菲律宾留学的认知上还存在不足。

比如有人问菲律宾的学历中国大陆认不认呀？其实早2009年11月中国与菲律宾两国政府就签订《中菲两国学历互认协议》。

Of course, there are still many discrepancies in cognition for Chinese citizens in studying in the Philippines.

For example, someone asked whether CSCSE certifies the academic qualifications of the Philippines? In fact, as early as November 2009, the Chinese government and the Philippines’ government signed the “Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Academic Degrees between China and the Philippines”.

又有人问菲律宾的硕士研究生只需一年多时间是不是很水呀？同学们你们回去可以告诉他们：英国的很多硕士的时长是一年，美国的很多硕士的时长是两年。世界上硕士时长的主流就是一至两年。读的硕士在中国要花费三年时间才是特有的。

Some people also ask whether it is very valueless for a master’s degree student in the Philippines to finish studies over a year? Actually, many master’s degrees in the UK have a duration of one year, while many master’s degrees in the United States have a duration of two years. The mainstream master’s degree program in the world is one to two years. It almost only happens in China that it takes three years to get a master’s degree.

还有人说，菲律宾是贫穷欠发达的国家，我们为什么要去的这样的国家留学? 我告诉大家菲律宾国家人口总数、土地面积与中国相比是的确一个小国。我们不应该拿国家与国家对比，而是要把我们生活的城市与菲律宾马尼拉对比。我给大家这样一个参考。Some people say that the Philippines is an underdeveloped country, why do we want to study in such a country? The total population and land area of the Philippines are smaller than those of China. But I will present you the following as reference.

在亚洲城市的排名当中，东京排第一，新加坡排第二，上海与香港是第三与第四，深圳市排第8名，广州市排在第十名，接下来就第11名就是马尼拉大都会。

In the ranking of Asian cities, Tokyo ranked first, Singapore ranked second, Shanghai and Hong Kong ranked third and fourth, Shenzhen ranked eighth, Guangzhou ranked tenth, followed by Metro Manila.

同时，菲律宾也是一个多元化和富有活力的国家。我们知道菲律宾的历史首先西班牙人在这里统治了三百多年，后来又是美国的殖民地，二战期间有被日本占领了三年。1946年建国，很多政治经济制度都是沿袭了美国。

At the same time, the Philippines is also a diverse and dynamic country. We know that in the history of the Philippines, it was first ruled by the Spanish for over 300 years, then it became a colony of the United States. During World War II, it was occupied by Japan for three years. Established in 1946, many political and economic systems of the Philippines were inherited from the United States.

当然我们留学也可以选择泰国、马来西亚，但是这些国家文化的影响力局限在亚太地区，而菲律宾的影响力超出亚太，与西方国家联系更加紧密。所有我们可以在这里体验不同的文化。拓宽我们的视野，积攒我们的国际人脉。

Of course, we can also choose Thailand and Malaysia for studying abroad, but the cultural influence of these countries is limited in the Asia Pacific region, while the influence of the Philippines extends beyond the Asia Pacific region and has closer ties with Western countries. We can experience different cultures here, expand our horizons and accumulate our international connections.

当然，如果你是个美食爱好者、在马尼拉可以体验西班牙人做的西班牙美食、日本人做的日本料理、韩国人做的韩国料理、意大利人做的意大利美食。当然还有我们中国的美食。

Of course, if you are a gourmet, you can experience Spanish food made by Spaniards, Japanese cuisine made by Japanese, Korean cuisine made by Korean, and Italian food made by Italians in Manila. Of course, there are also our Chinese cuisine.

总之，作为中国学生来菲律宾国家大学攻读研究生学历，我们能够获得优质的教育、丰富的研究资源、国际化的学术环境以及多元文化的交流机会。In short, as a Chinese student studying for a postgraduate degree in the National University of the Philippines, we can obtain high-quality education, rich research resources, an international academic environment and multicultural exchange opportunities.

回到中国我们可以很自信负责的告诉我们朋友，留学就来菲律宾，就要选择百年老校菲律宾国家大学、与菲律宾三任总统做校友。
