Asia Pacific College (APC), through its School of Engineering, together with Golden Chi Management Corporation, formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing on August 16, 2025, for the development of Project Urban Oasis, an Aquaponic System.
The project promotes sustainable food production by combining aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (growing plants without soil) in a closed-loop system
The MOA was signed by Dr. Ma. Teresita P. Medado (President, APC), Engr. Leonardo A. Samaniego, Jr. (Executive Director of Engineering, APC), and Atty. Heide Congson (Chief Operating Officer, Golden Chi Management Corporation), representing Atty. Carmelo Mendoza (Chief Executive Officer, Golden Chi Management Corporation).
APC will provide its expertise, research support, and student involvement to help drive the project, which promotes eco-friendly farming, saves water, and offers real-world solutions for food security and education.
